Counted my chickens before they hatched...

Well I heard about Hurricane Rita heading towards Galveston on Friday-Saturday which probably means that we will lose the cruise. We were supposed to leave Galveston Sunday at 6 p.m. to set off for lovely Jamaica and then Cozumel but theirs a pretty good possibility that it might be canceled because the after affects of Rita ( especially if it turns into a category 4 ). Perhaps we can just get a credit for the cruise and go again next year or something? George told me that if this happened that we would then use our vacation time to go to Vegas.

I just hope everyone will be okay. They were saying that if it hit New Orleans again ( which is supposedly an extremely small chance), then New Orleans would get majorly screwed even more. They are already starting evacuations in Galveston ( so hopefully the government will do a better job this time on disaster relief ). I really hope whatever happens that people will heed the warnings and go to be safe ( or to be able to obtain the transportation away from there).
